Mr. Michael joined KELC in September 2014. He majored in Biblical Studies and obtained an interdisciplinary degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Chicago’s Moody Bible Institute. Originally from Iowa, Michael now loves the Madison area.
Michael has worked with children in several settings, including an afterschool program, as a Christian camp counselor, and as a waterfront director at a children's and family camp. He loves new movies, good books, and time with friends.
Michael grew up loving stories and playing with almost anything. He feels blessed by the books and toys his parents provided, which enabled him to create his own tales. As a child, he also played t-ball, loved gym class, and running sports. These days, Michael loves “reading stories to kids…playing games both new and old…, especially outside.” More importantly, he seeks to teach children to care for one another.
