MISS MICHELLE M
TIME OF WONDER
Miss Michelle graduated in 2011 from Winona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. After graduation, she taught a multi-aged kindergarten and preschool classroom at a small private school in southern Minnesota for two years. For the next few years, she lived in Michigan with her husband, Tanner, as he worked towards his PhD in Chemistry. While in Michigan, Michelle taught as a toddler teacher for one year, a floating teacher for one year, a preschool teacher for two years, and a summer camp teacher for two summers.
Michelle was born and raised in rural southern Minnesota. Michelle enjoyed spending time with her family (husband, Tanner, son, Rowan, and Boston Terrier, Atom). Michelle also enjoys spending time with her extended family, friends, traveling, and relaxing around campfires.
Michelle has wanted to be a teacher from as far back as she can remember. As a child, she remembers frequently playing “school” with her sister and neighborhood friends. Through her teaching experiences, Michelle has been drawn to child-led and nature-based learning. This is what drew Michelle to Kids Express Learning Center.HE
